Laura Clay dedicated decades of her life to advocating for women's suffrage in Kentucky and across the nation, guiding the Kentucky Equal Rights Association and mentoring younger activists. She balanced deep conviction with practical wisdom that kept the movement focused.

Her perseverance paved the way for future generations, and she rests in Lexington Cemetery among the companions of her long campaign.
