Biography
Laurens Corning Shull rose to prominence as a disciplined athlete at the University of Chicago, where he was admired for both his fierce competitiveness and his quiet leadership on the football field.
He took that same courage overseas with the American Expeditionary Forces in World War I, and though he did not return, his memory endures for his community and the young men he inspired; he lies now in Graceland Park Cemetery.
