Biography
Lazarus Bergmann was a rabbi and scholar who played an important role in the Jewish community during the nineteenth century. Born in 1799, he devoted himself to religious study and the guidance of his community members.
Rabbi Bergmann served with distinction until his death in 1852, earning a place of honor at the Mount of Olives Jewish Cemetery, one of the most revered burial grounds in the Jewish world.
