Lebbeus Armstrong

Biography

Lebbeus Armstrong was born in 1775 and witnessed the transformation of the young American nation throughout his lifetime. He lived to the age of eighty-five, passing away in 1860 and being laid to rest in East Line Union Cemetery.

Armstrong's long life spanned nearly a century of significant change and development in American history. Though specific records of his occupation and achievements are limited, his longevity and community ties are reflected in his burial place among his neighbors and contemporaries.
