Lee Duncan

Biography

Lee Duncan (1892–1960) was a dog trainer whose compassionate partnership with canines captured the public imagination, most famously through his discovery and guidance of a certain talented German shepherd that became a symbol of loyalty on the silver screen. Duncan’s understanding of animal behavior and patient training inspired generations of trainers and moviegoers alike.

After years of touring with his celebrated companions, he made Evergreen Cemetery his final resting place, where visitors can remember the bond he forged between people and their four-legged heroes.
