Biography

Lee Ya-Ching became one of China’s first licensed female pilots and used that pioneering achievement to inspire others across Asia. She also appeared in films, using her fame to advocate for modern education and the empowerment of women during turbulent times.

After years of flying exhibitions and public speaking, she eventually settled in California, where she continued to champion aviation and cultural exchange until her passing in 1998. She was laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery, leaving behind a legacy of daring spirit and quiet leadership.
