Leland Stanford Jr., the cherished son of Leland and Jane Stanford, spent his brief years surrounded by familial affection and the promise of a brighter future. Though his life was brief, he was a beloved boy whose laughter enlivened the halls of the family home and offered comfort during hardships.

His parents honored that love by founding Stanford University, and he rests peacefully within the Stanford Mausoleum, a silent reminder of the idealism his memory inspired.
