Biography
Leland W. Carr spent a lifetime pursuing justice, rising through the judiciary with a steady temperament and a stern belief that the law should elevate the vulnerable and protect the innocent. He carried this sense of fairness into every opinion, guiding colleagues and litigants toward balanced resolutions.
Even after leaving the bench he remained a mentor to younger lawyers and a quiet advocate for civic education, and his final rest is at Evergreen Cemetery.
