Biography
Leo Sauemägi (1928-1987) pursued medical research with a quiet determination, seeking answers that strengthened public health in Estonia and beyond. His laboratory work focused on pressing challenges of his time, and he believed every small discovery could lead to greater care for patients.
Colleagues valued his collegial spirit and his mentorship of younger scientists, and his legacy is honoured at Jõelähtme Cemetery.
