Leon Jastremski

Biography

Leon Jastremski was born in 1843 and became a loyal member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, where he balanced quiet contemplation with action, lending energy to relief efforts and to the spiritual life of the parish. His friends admired his calm certainty and the manner in which he extended mercy to newcomers.

He was interred at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in 1907, and the parish still feels the loss of a man whose faith and kindness shaped many lives.
