Léonie Cordier (1817–1886) was a French woman whose life spanned much of the nineteenth century, a period of significant social and cultural transformation in France. Though limited records remain of her individual accomplishments, her presence in the historical record reflects the lives of countless women of her era whose contributions, though often unrecorded, were integral to the fabric of society.
