Biography
Léontine Savary de Rovigo (1804–1887) was a French noblewoman of the nineteenth century. She maintained a prominent position in Parisian society during the tumultuous decades of the July Monarchy and Second Empire.
Her life spanned nearly a century of French history, witnessing the transformations of the nation from the Napoleonic era through the Third Republic. She was laid to rest in Père Lachaise Cemetery, one of Paris's most distinguished burial grounds.
