Leopold Moczygemba, born in 1824 in Europe, answered a call to serve Polish immigrants seeking opportunity in America. As a Catholic priest, he led the establishment of Panna Maria, Texas, helping settlers maintain their language, faith, and cultural traditions while laying the foundations for a thriving community.
