Leopold Stiassni

Biography

Leopold Stiassni was born in 1847 and grew into a thoughtful member of Brno's Jewish community, where he spent his life supporting family and neighbors through the changes of the late nineteenth century.

He remained in Brno until his death in 1914 and was laid to rest in the Jewish cemetery, remembered by those who knew him for his steady kindness and the quiet dignity with which he met daily challenges.
