Biography
Leopoldine von Liechtenstein, born in 1815, belonged to a noble house that regarded social responsibility as a calling, and she devoted herself to supporting hospitals, schools, and the widows of civil servants throughout the Bohemian countryside. She frequently visited the poor of Netín and the surrounding villages, distributing aid and skillfully directing donations so that they would reach the most vulnerable.
She passed away in 1899, remembered especially for the warmth of her conversations and the steadiness of her patronage, and she rests in the Lobkowicz Vault in Netín where the community still honors her legacy of charitable care.
