Biography

Lewis Henry Steiner (1827–1892) was a physician and naturalist whose curiosity helped shape the civic life of Baltimore and beyond. He taught young scholars about the natural world, worked to expand medical knowledge, and championed the idea that science and education could uplift every citizen.
