Lewis Malone Ayer, Jr., born in 1821, offered his time and talents to the Silver Brook community, where he was admired for his thoughtful counsel and readiness to support others.

He leaves behind a legacy of faithful friendship and quiet dignity, and he rests now in Silver Brook Cemetery.
