Biography

Lewis William Lewis, born in 1831 and known by many as Llew Llwyfo, celebrated Welsh poetry through the eisteddfodau and his ardent support for the Welsh literary revival. He gave voice to the landscapes and people of Wales with verse that found favour among readers and fellow bards alike.

His devotion to his craft and community is remembered at Llanbeblig, where his remains rest alongside those who inspired his creative spirit.
