Biography
Libertaire Rutigliano was a French resistance fighter who dedicated his life to opposing Nazi occupation during World War II. Born in 1921, he joined the resistance movement and worked courageously to undermine German forces in occupied France.
Rutigliano's commitment to freedom and justice cost him his life when he was killed in 1945, just as the war was drawing to a close. He was laid to rest in Nantes (Pont-Du-Cens) Communal Cemetery, where he is remembered as a hero who gave his life for his country's liberation.
