Biography
Libuše Jansová was a painter whose artistic vision contributed to Czech visual culture during the twentieth century. Her work reflected the creative spirit of her generation and the evolving artistic movements of her time.
Living from 1904 to 1996, Jansová witnessed dramatic changes in both art and society throughout her long life. She was laid to rest at Olšany Cemetery in Prague, where she joins other notable figures of Czech cultural history.
