Biography

Lieutenant Edward Smith Frissell (1781–1807) was a junior officer in the British military who served during a critical period of British expansion and consolidation in India. His career represented the younger generation of officers who were instrumental in maintaining British military presence and authority in the subcontinent.

Frissell's death at age 26 ended a promising military career. He was interred in South Park Street Cemetery, where his grave stands as a testament to the sacrifices made by military personnel in service to the British Crown during the colonial era.
