Biography

Lost Bird was a Pawnee child whose early life was shaped by the upheaval of the Battle of the Little Bighorn, and she spent many years living among the Lakota before she found her way back toward her own people.

Later living near Pine Ridge, she carried a story of resilience and cultural bridge-building, reminding visitors of the enduring strength of those who survive profound displacement.
