Louis Blenker

Biography

Louis Blenker, an immigrant from Europe, carried the ideals of liberty across the Atlantic and became a Union cavalry officer, lending his courage and leadership to the Civil War effort.

Though he died far from home, his commitment to his adopted nation and the men who served with him endures in the memories preserved at Rockland Cemetery.
