Louis Julius Freudenberg

Biography

Louis Julius Freudenberg belonged to the generation that answered the call of World War I, offering his youth and energy to the service of the nation and embodying the selfless spirit that sustained soldiers far from home.

He had also been a tireless supporter of local institutions before the war, and his premature death in 1918 left a community grateful for his sacrifice; his grave at Flower Hill Cemetery invites reflection on the price of freedom.
