Biography
Louis-Lucien Klotz brought his legal acumen to the public sphere, serving as a gifted parliamentarian and finance minister who helped steer France through the economic turbulence that followed the Great War, negotiating reparations and defending the republic’s fiscal reputation.
For all the pressures of his office he remained committed to social progress, and after his years in government he was laid to rest beside fellow patriots at Père Lachaise, where his contribution to rebuilding the nation is still honored.
