Biography
Louis Montagu, 2nd Baron Swaythling, succeeded to the family peerage and was widely respected for his stewardship of the family bank as well as for his thoughtful contributions in the House of Lords. He used his position to champion social causes, especially those affecting the Jewish community, and he worked to foster greater understanding between people of different backgrounds.
