Biography

Louis Petitot was a French sculptor born in 1794, who worked during the early 19th century. He contributed to the neoclassical and transitional sculptural traditions of his time, creating works that reflected the artistic sensibilities of his era.

Petitot's sculptural career extended through the first half of the 19th century until his death in 1862. He was buried in Montparnasse Cemetery, joining the distinguished community of artists who shaped French artistic heritage.
