Biography
Louise E. Stairs (1892–1975) devoted her life to education and the preservation of Fultonville's local heritage, teaching children to take pride in their community and encouraging residents to document the stories of their families. Her classroom was a place of curiosity, kindness, and an abiding respect for the land and the people who tilled it.
In addition to teaching, she was active in local cultural events, church gatherings, and genealogical pursuits, always ready to lend a hand whether the need was for a fundraiser or for a comforting word at a difficult time.
