Louise L. Chase

Biography

Louise L. Chase was born in 1840 and spent her life in Middletown where she helped cultivate arts, education, and fellowship among neighbors. She used whatever means she could to encourage women to pursue new opportunities while keeping community gatherings warm and inclusive.

Chase's calm encouragement and practical wisdom kept many initiatives moving forward, and her passing in 1906 was mourned by a circle of grateful friends.
