Biography

Louise Weiss dedicated her remarkable life to writing, journalism, and the struggle for women’s suffrage, becoming one of France’s most eloquent advocates for equality. Her books and reports spread across Europe, championing the ideals that would later help shape the European Parliament.

Her tireless travels and counsel inspired generations of activists until her death in 1983, and she is remembered near Magny-les-Hameaux, a place close to the communities she served.
