Lucian Newhall

Biography

Lucian Newhall (1824-1898) was an earnest participant in the life of Pine Grove, working to ensure that the town's schools and community spaces reflected the pride of its residents. He appreciated the rhythm of daily labor and encouraged his neighbors to balance work with fellowship.

Newhall took joy in sharing stories of the region's early days, helping preserve a sense of continuity even as newcomers arrived. He lies at Pine Grove Cemetery, among fellow pioneers who shaped the neighborhood.
