Biography

Born into the Daudet literary family in 1878, Lucien Daudet became a writer whose novels, essays, and art criticism reflected the changing face of Paris between the fin de siècle and the interwar years.

He is remembered for his gentle prose, loyalty to colleagues such as Marcel Proust, and for keeping the city's artistic salons resonant; his memory rests in Père Lachaise Cemetery.
