Biography

Lucy Harriott Galton was a woman of the Regency era whose life, though brief, was lived during a period of considerable social and intellectual ferment. She was part of a family and community engaged with the ideas and developments of her time.

Her memory is preserved at the Church of St Mary in Abberley, Worcestershire, where she is remembered by those whose lives she touched. Though her years were limited, she represents the many women whose lives, though often inadequately recorded, were integral to the social fabric of Regency England.
