Lucy Wheeler lived a long and full life as a member of her parish community during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. She maintained her connections to her church and neighbors throughout her years.

Her memory was preserved at the Church of St Clement in Horsley, where she was commemorated by those in her community who valued her presence and her place in the life of the parish.
