Ludwig Klimek

1912–1992 (age 80)

Biography

Ludwig Klimek, born in 1912, made Antibes his beloved studio and gave himself over to painting as a dialogue between light and the Mediterranean palette; his canvases captured both the restless sea and the quiet corners of the town where artists, neighbors, and visitors came together.

Although the decades brought changes in style and fashion, Klimek remained faithful to the contemplative rhythm of creation, inspiring younger painters to slow down, observe, and cherish the small revelations hidden in everyday streets.
