Biography

Ludwik Zejszner (1803–1871) was a distinguished Polish geologist who made significant contributions to the understanding of the geological structure of the Carpathian Mountains and surrounding regions. His scientific work helped establish the foundations of modern geological study in Poland during the nineteenth century.

Zejszner's legacy as a pioneering geologist continues to be recognized in Polish scientific circles. He was buried in Rakowicki Cemetery in Kraków, one of Poland's most prestigious burial grounds, reflecting his standing in the academic and cultural community.
