Biography

Luka Nikolayevich Antropov (1843–1881) was a Russian writer whose literary career flourished during the golden age of Russian literature in the 19th century. Though his life was cut short at age 38, he contributed to the rich literary traditions of his era during the reign of Alexander II and the early years of Alexander III.

Antropov's legacy as a writer endures through his literary works, which reflected the intellectual currents and social concerns of mid-to-late 19th-century Russia.
