Biography
Luke S. Johnson, born in 1807, was among the earliest followers of the Latter-day Saint movement and served in several capacities for the Church during its foundational years. He was respected for his dedication, his preaching, and his willingness to take on challenging assignments.
Johnson died in 1861 and was buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery. His life is recalled as one marked by faith and perseverance amid the trials of the early Saints.
