Biography
Luther S. Dixon, born 1825, combined a sharp legal mind with a compassionate understanding of the people he served, first as a practicing attorney and later as a justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He helped shape the state's early statutes and ensured that legal innovations were balanced by practical wisdom.
When he died in 1891 he left a bench stronger for his leadership and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery, where generations of lawyers continue to honor his example.
