Biography

Lydia Moss Bradley was a resilient businesswoman who turned personal tragedy into a lifetime of giving, founding Bradley University and other institutions that opened new opportunities for young people.

Her philanthropy also touched hospitals and relief efforts, and her generous spirit continues to brighten Peoria and beyond; she is buried in Springdale Cemetery.
