Lyn Lary was a dependable infielder whose steady defense and timely hitting earned him roles with the Yankees, the Senators, and several other clubs during his major league career.
After retiring to Long Beach, he shared his love of the game with neighborhood teams, teaching young players the same focus and joy that had carried him through years on the diamond.
