Mac Curtis, born in 1939, rose as a rockabilly pioneer whose grinning vocals and honky-tonk style thrilled audiences across the nation, ensuring that the raw energy of that early sound never faded.
After decades on the road and in the studio, he settled in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, welcoming fans old and new and now rests with fellow veterans at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
