Biography
Maksymilian Strasz was a pioneering Polish photographer who documented the visual landscape of nineteenth-century Warsaw. As a practitioner of the relatively young art of photography, he contributed to the preservation of historical imagery during a transformative period.
Strasz's work as a photographer reflected the technological innovations of his age and his artistic vision. He was buried at Powązki Cemetery, where his memory remains among Warsaw's notable citizens.
