Manuel Isidoro Suárez (1799–1846) was a military officer whose career spanned Argentina's independence struggle and the establishment of the republic. Born at the turn of the nineteenth century, he came of age during the revolutionary period and devoted his adult life to military service in the cause of national independence and sovereignty.
Suárez's forty-seven years encompassed the most critical period in Argentine history, from the final years of Spanish colonial rule through the consolidation of republican institutions. His recognition through burial in Recoleta Cemetery reflects his standing as a respected military figure.
