Biography

Marceli Paweł Karczewski (1805–1861) was a Polish figure whose life spanned the turbulent early nineteenth century. He was laid to rest at Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw, one of Poland's most significant burial grounds.

Though details of his life remain modest in historical record, Karczewski's burial at Powązki Cemetery reflects his place within Warsaw's society during the period following the November Uprising and the subsequent Russian occupation of Poland.
