Marcus Juda Ephraim Levy

Biography

Marcus Juda Ephraim Levy was an active member of Berlin's Jewish community during the early 19th century. He lived during a pivotal period of transition, when Jewish residents were gradually gaining greater legal rights and opportunities for civic participation within Prussian society.

Levy's life from 1763 to 1826 encompassed more than six decades of communal involvement and social change. His burial at the Jüdischer Friedhof Berlin-Mitte reflects his standing within Berlin's organized Jewish community and his commitment to its religious traditions and practices.
