Margaret Clements Lockyer

Biography

Margaret Clements Lockyer was a woman of the nineteenth century whose life spanned the early decades of American expansion. Born in 1832, she witnessed the rapid growth and transformation of her era, living through a period of significant social and cultural change.

Her memory is preserved at Cypress Hills Cemetery, where she rests following her passing in 1861 at the age of twenty-nine. Though her life was brief, she remains part of the historical record of her community and time.
