Biography

Marguerite Syamour was a talented French sculptor whose artistic contributions enriched French cultural heritage during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Born in 1857, she worked during a period of significant artistic innovation and helped advance the role of women in the fine arts.

Syamour's long and productive life extended to 1945, allowing her to witness the transformation of French society across multiple generations. She was cremated and her remains placed in the Crématorium-columbarium du Père-Lachaise, one of France's most prestigious final resting places for artists and cultural figures.
