Biography

Maria de los Dolores Estudillo Bandini was born in 1805 into the distinguished Estudillo family of Alta California, where her life was shaped by the rhythms of mission-era San Diego and the early Mexican territory.

She died in 1833 and rests at El Campo Santo Cemetery, a place that receives so many of the city's earliest families. Through her ties to the Estudillo and Bandini households, she is part of the fabric that links present-day San Diego to its earliest settlers.
