Biography
Maria Hornung inspired students and colleagues alike during her tenure as a university teacher, nurturing intellect and curiosity through patient instruction and a passion for scholarship. She believed in education as a pathway to empowerment and treated each student with attentiveness.
After retiring, she continued to read widely and attended public lectures, remaining a lifelong learner and a gentle advocate for academic inquiry.
